How is the value of any property affected by these 6 categories

A little while ago CheckMyStreet conducted a small survey asking estate agents and property professionals about what impact certain characteristics has on perceived property value. There were six categories of interest:

  • Local amenities
  • Crime Rate
  • Sales/Rental demand
  • Council Tax
  • Letting Performance
  • Sales Performance

Local Amenities

Unsurprisingly the most clear answer was Local Amenities with 70% of responses rating this between 7 and 9. amenities

Crime rate

Crime rate was another deciding factor in our research showing a wider cluster of responses from 4-10, with most answers being close to 10. You can see current crime rate per postcode on CheckMyStreet.
